School Council
At Cicely Haughton each class has a school council representative. The rep is voted for as part of a whole class process where they put themselves forwards f they wish to be considered, but then the rest of the group votes each of them as part of a democratic process.
Once nominated and voted in, the children are awarded a school council badge and they begin their work of taking the class views and suggestions to the school council meetings which are held on a half termly basis.
The school council are aware of the fact that they will be expected to be a positive role model and the expectations are personalised but need to be respected.
Our children love the responsibility of being the class rep and take their jobs very very seriously indeed.
